Twanna Encourages Women to Speak Out Against Domestic Violence in Latest Single

Twanna, a rising dancehall artist, is using her platform to shed light on domestic violence with her latest single ‘Facts’. The single, which drops on April 7th is produced by Jay Godd Beats/Swick Link Inc, mixed, and mastered by Smoke Shop Studios, is available on all leading online stores.

Inspired by the domestic cases highlighted in the media, especially in her home country of Jamaica, Twanna shares that she has also been a victim of domestic violence. With ‘Facts’, the singer hopes to inspire both women and men to speak up and speak out against domestic violence and raise their voices against such unfortunate circumstances.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Twanna migrated to Vancouver, Canada, before later settling in Toronto. Her exposure to different cultures influenced her style of music when she started recording in 2020. Her debut single ‘Grip Thighs’ was released in November 2021, and since then, she has been working hard in the studio and perfecting her stagecraft.

Recently, Twanna performed at Swick Fest 2023, where she had her female fans cheering along as she performed her hit single ‘Luxury’. The young artist has graced the stage with influential dancehall artist I-Octane, who praised her performance and encouraged her to continue pursuing music.

With ‘Facts’, Twanna hopes to not only raise awareness about domestic violence but also inspire other young women to find their voice and speak out against injustices. The singer believes that the sky is the limit for her, and she is determined to make her mark in the dancehall arena.

“I have a lot of videos and music on the way for my supporters who have been eagerly waiting,” she said. Twanna thanks her fans for their continued support and promises to deliver more music that speaks to their hearts and souls.
