Varian Di-best is eyeing Jamaican music charts with songs from ‘Gyal And Medz’, his second album, which was recently released.
The New York-based deejay is currently promoting three songs from the set — ‘Live And go On’, ‘Is it That Hard’ and ‘Pride And Ego’.
‘Gyal And Medz’, which Varian Di-best describes as “a mix of female songs and reality”, is the follow-up to ‘#Next Baddest’, his first album which was released in 2021.
He visits Jamaica often and is determined to hit the charts there.
“Dancehall music is what I do, not because I’m based overseas means my culture changes. Jamaica is my forever home and my forever culture,” he said.
Born in Kingston and raised in Spanish Town, Varian Di-best made his recording debut in 2020 with ‘Soca Party’, a song produced by
Foxy D Production.
